With an extensive background in Human Services and Counseling Studies, Gwendolyn Hullette brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as Program Director and Case Manager.
Holding an MS in Nutrition and Integrative Health and pursuing a doctoral degree in Natural Healing, she is also a certified Nutritionist through the Washington Department of Health.
Gwendolyn has dedicated 17 years to working with the Independent Living Skills (ILS) program and current and former foster youth, coupled with 34 years of experience in Social Services.
As a compassionate and experienced coach, she guides individuals on their journey towards independence and empowers them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
In 2006, an agency that is now closed needed a part-time case manager, and I went to work for the owner while I was working at the middle and high schools in both Port Angeles and Sequim.
Eventually, I moved up into administrative and group work until the owner asked me to take over the practice so she could focus on a new job she took as a therapist for one of the local tribes.
Since I was having some health issues related to stress, I decided to leave working with the schools and focus entirely on working with current and former foster youth in 2009 and that's where I have been ever since.
I have a passion for working with adolescents—they are the future and it is my greatest honor to work with such amazing young people.
